How We Start
A clear, structured afternoon designed so you leave with real understanding — not just a handout.
Registration &
Preparation
You contact us through the website or by phone. We confirm your spot and send a brief overview of what the afternoon covers. No homework required — just bring your most recent payslip if you have one.
Workshops are held in small groups to allow time for individual questions. The format is conversational, not lecture-style.
How the afternoon unfolds
We start by placing the payslip in context. Why does it exist, who is legally required to issue it, and what the document is actually certifying. This section removes the intimidation factor so the rest of the afternoon feels approachable.
- Legal obligation to issue a recibo de haberes
- What the document certifies for both parties
- The structure of a typical Argentine payslip
- How to identify your employer's information and your own data
Before deductions, we look at everything on the earnings side. Basic salary, overtime, bonuses, non-remunerative items, and how each one is defined and why it matters whether something is remunerative or not.
- Basic salary and how it's set by collective agreement
- Overtime lines and their multipliers
- Remunerative vs. non-remunerative concepts
- Food allowances, transport, and other common additions
This is the core of the workshop. We go through every deduction line by line: jubilación, PAMI, obra social, ANSSAL, union fees, and Ganancias for those who earn above the threshold. Each one gets its own explanation with the percentage, the legal basis, and where the money goes.
- Jubilación: 11% — retirement system contribution
- PAMI: 3% — health coverage for retirees
- Obra social: 3% — your own health coverage
- ANSSAL: redistribution fund for obras sociales
- Sindicato: union contribution, varies by sector
- Ganancias: income tax withholding when applicable
We cover the annual payments and special concepts that appear at specific times of year — SAC calculation, vacation pay, and how these are reflected on the payslip when they occur.
- SAC calculation from the best salary of the semester
- Proportional SAC on departure
- Vacation pay calculation
- How these appear on the payslip when paid
The last section is dedicated to participants' own documents. Those who brought their payslip can ask about specific lines they didn't understand. We don't provide individual labor advice — but we can explain what a line means and how it's calculated.
- Participant questions on their own payslip items
- Clarifications on anything from earlier in the session
- Recommended resources for ongoing learning
- How to use the online simulators on this site
